- Great Moments In Inaugural “Poetry”? None, Won’t Be One Now, But I Did Reply To Maya Angelou’s Ramblings Barack Obama’s Inaugural “Poet” is Elizabeth Alexander, a Professor of African-American Studies at Yale University. A great moment in poetry from her ought not to be anticipated - if by great one means a poem that, among other things, makes sense, is coherent, and has meaning. For example, here, in its entirety, is Alexander’s “poem” titled “Emancipation”:
12/30/08 - Frank Zappa Dangerously Wrong — “Just Words” Powerful And Have Moved Some People To Commit Murder In my 1986 cult-classic, CNN-“Crossfire” debate with the late but not great Frank Zappa, which has almost one million hits on You Tube, Zappa says, at one point, when I object to some song lyrics, that what I am complaining about are “just words” - as if words are irrelevant. But, of course, words are very powerful and have moved some people to commit murder. The following is a piece I wrote which appeared in “The Washington Times” newspaper on August 12, 1987. I was a regular columnist for the “Times” from 1982-1989. - J.L.
12/22/08 - Just Like The Liberals, Conservative Hero Judges Also Godless In Their Legal Philosophy From an article titled “The Higher Law And ‘Original Intent’: The Challenge For Conservatism” by Charles R. Kesler, in the Spring 1987 “The Intercollegiate Review.” Kesler, at the time, was an Assistant Professor of Political Science and Associate Director of the Henry Salvatori Center at Claremont McKenna College. Making the point that supposedly different conservative judges are, in reality, no different from liberal judges in that both reject any notion of a higher law, Kesler says:
12/19/08 - Should Bush/Cheney, Others Be Prosecuted If Evidence They Committed War Crimes, Domestic Crimes? Yes! Where Are Christian/Conservative Leaders On This Issue? If there is evidence that Bush Administration officials - including the President and the Vice President - were involved in war crimes, or domestic crimes here at home, should they be prosecuted? The obvious answer is: Of course! Yes! And there does appear to be such evidence. The following interview excerpts touch on this subject. The first excerpt is from Keith Olbermann’s MSNBC “Count Down” program (12/16/08). His guest is Jonathan Turley who teaches Constitutional Law at Georgetown University. The second interview excerpt is from the MSNBC “Rachel Maddow Show” (12/15/08). Her guest is Thomas Tamm, a former Justice Department official and “whistleblower” who revealed the Bush Administration’s warrantless wiretapping program. It is a shame and a disgrace that prominent Christian/conservative individuals and organizations are silent on this important issue of Bush Administration law-breaking and only those on the Left are focusing attention on this subject. - J.L.
12/18/08 - Interview: “Atheist”* Attorney Agrees With Mao, Stalin, Hitler That Rights Come From The State So The State Can Take Those Rights Away Edwin F. Kagin is National Legal Director of American Atheists, Inc. He and some fellow God-haters are suing Kentucky because one of the state’s laws says that God is our number one protector in terms of “homeland security.” I chatted with him recently and apologize that our talk turned quickly into a rather messier discussion than I had wanted.
12/18/08 - Interview: William J. Murray, Chairman, The Religious Freedom Coalition, Re: Persecution Of Iraqi Christians Also discussed: The sin and political stupidity of so many who call themselves “Christians” when, in fact, they are, alas, first, Republican Party cheerleaders instead of, first, being people who think and act like Christians.
12/11/08 - Rushdoony On Deuteronomy And War One of the Dead Sea Scrolls is entitled, The War of the Sons of Light against the Sons of Darkness. Its concern was with the great war with God’s enemies at the end-time. These laws had their influence. Throughout the Christian era, much has occurred in the way of efforts, both successful and unsuccessful, to limit injustices in wartime. Although the history of Western warfare is not good, it still is different from the ferocity of most pagan conflicts, until recently. 12/11/08
- Brian Rohrbough To Speak On “The Pro-Life Industry Vs. The Pro-Life Ministry - Strategy Vs. Morality” At “Institute On The Constitution’s” January Event The January speaker is Brian Rohrbough, President of the Colorado-based “American Right to Life,” an organization dedicated to ending abortion by recognizing the God given right to life and establishing the personhood of every human being beginning at the very moment that biological life begins. “A. R. T. L.” opposes every “pro-life” initiative or legislation that compromises God’s enduring command “Do Not Murder”. If a law ends with “and then you can kill the baby” it is a bad law.
12/08/08 - Government-Run “Public Schools” A Smashing Success — From Satan’s Perspective The following material is about the goals of state-run education: To destroy Christianity and (supposedly) to bring salvation through humanistic schooling. This material is from a tape series by Pastor Steve Wilkins of the Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church in Monroe, Louisiana, titled “America: The First 350 Years.” This tape series can be ordered in MP3 format with lecture notes in pdf files all on one CD for $25.00. Order from: Covenant Publications, 224 Auburn Ave., Monroe, LA 71201. 12/02/08
- Dobson/MacArthur Failure To Call For Withdrawal From “Public Schools” An Uncertain Trumpet, Confusing To Christian Parents MacArthur and Dobson did their best, but ultimately their joint anxiety had to have confused listening parents more than supplying inspiring guidance. The point FOTF was trying to make began, as it should have, with the diagnosis that ours is a nation beset by sin. MacArthur even went so far as to say that God has already abandoned us. At the end of day two, FOTF set about confirming his conclusion with a school story dramatizing that deteriorating public schools prove how much we really do deserve His abandonment. 12/02/08
- Exodus Mandate’s “Call to Dunkirk” Asks Christian Parents To Obey God, Get Christian Children Out Of Caesar’s Schools, Give Them Christian Education Exodus Mandate Project is a Christian ministry to encourage and assist Christian families to leave government schools for the Promised Land of Christian schools or home schooling. It is “EM’s” hope that this fresh obedience in educating our children according to Biblical mandates will prove to be the key for revival in our families, churches and nation. 12/02/08
- Jefferson’s “Wall” Not In Constitution, Misrepresents Constitutional Principles In Many Different Ways “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Many Americans believe that these 16 words from the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment built a “wall of separation” between church and state. The media, academics, and even the U.S. Supreme Court frequently reinforce this notion. 11/25/08

11/17/08 - QUESTION OF THE WEEK
11/14/08 - Ron Paul: Important Question Not About Future Of Republican Party But Where Is Our Country Heading? But that is the wrong question. The proper question should be: Where is our country heading? There’s no doubt that a large majority of Americans believe we’re on the wrong track. That’s why the candidate demanding “change” won the election. It mattered not that the change offered was no change at all, only a change in the engineer of a runaway train. 11/14/08
- WRONG! EVEN THE “conservative” Heritage Foundation gets it wrong. We are NOT a “democracy.” We are, or at least were founded as, a Constitutional representative REPUBLIC!
11/12/08 - Paul/Peroutka Ticket In Montana Gets Biggest State Third Party Vote Given the fact that neither Ron Paul nor I campaigned in Montana but only provided an alternative to ‘lesser of two evils’ voting, I think the result in Montana is a strong statement that the American people are waking up to see that both major parties have abandoned the American cause, the American dream, and the American View of law and government. Indeed, they have forsaken American values and principles and are sinking in a socialist and humanist swamp.
11/11/08 - OH, MY, NOW I MIGHT HAVE TO GET A REAL JOB
11/05/08 - Good Time Had By All At Post-Election “First Friday” Lecture By “Recovering Republican” John Lofton This lecture DVD features 25 dubious achievement “awards” to McCain, Palin, Obama, and others. You’ll also see and hear: Several humorous/depressing audio soundbites with accompanying still photos. And you’ll see video interviews never seen before when John went to Manchester, N.H., in June of 2007, during one of the early Republican candidate “debates.” You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and sometimes will not be sure what you should do, as you watch interviews with: Mike Huckabee; Sen. Sam Brownback; a hapless host of “spinners” for the candidates in the “Spin Room” for the press; and numerous regular folks who know nothing about, and do not care about, our Constitution.
11/03/08 - OOPS!
10/31/08 - McVeigh No Christian; Worshipped Himself; Said “Science Is My Religion” It’s a Big Lie that’s been repeated many times since the terrorist attacks of 9/11. But it’s demonstrably not true. And the fact that it is not true was easily discoverable with just a little research. The big lie? That Oklahoma bomber and mass murderer Timothy McVeigh was a Christian. Here are just a few of the folks who have told this big lie:
10/29/08 - “Blind Guides” David Barton, Brannon House Defend Palin In One Of The Most Pathetic, Embarrassing, Anti-Biblical Presentations I Have Ever Seen The headline over the top of the video was promising. It read: “David Barton Takes On Those Who Say It Is Un-Biblical For Sarah Palin To Be Vice President.” Hmmmmm, interesting, I thought since I’ve read/heard several thousand words on the other side of this topic by, among others, the Rev. Joe Morecraft III, Pastor Bill Einwechter, Doug Phillips and Scott Whiteman. So, I looked forward to a good iron-sharpens-iron discussion here as I watched Barton be interviewed by Brannon House, who is identified as an “author, talk-show host, columnist and President of Worldview Weekend.”
10/29/08 - No, No, It’s Barack Obama Who Is The Socialist JOHN McCAIN - who has voted to “share” almost $2 TRILLION in “wealth” (your hard-earned Federal tax dollars and mine) in various “bailouts” and “rescues” for the big banks, a huge insurance company and the auto industry struggled a bit recently on Fox News as he tried to explain how Barack Obama is a socialist, as a concerned Mrs. McCain looked on, perhaps worried that her husband’s nose was about to grow to roughly the size of the Washington Monument.

10/29/08 - Thanks But No Thanks To Bush For Throwing $2.2 BILLION Down Planned Parenthood Rathole! So, President Bush throws $2.2 BILLION down the Planned Parenthood rathole and I’m supposed to thank him for not wasting the Federal tax dollars of pro-life taxpayers? Well, yes, that’s what the folks at “Focus On The Family” want me and others to do.
10/25/08 - WHAT WAS REALLY BEING SAID
09/26/08 - “Maverick,” I-Hate-Washington DC, Out-Side-The-Beltway “Reformer” Palin Makes Pilgrimmage To Mt. Kissinger To Get CFR, Trilateral Commission Party Line On a recent trip to the United Nations in New York City, Sarah Palin visited with, among others, Henry Kissinger to get up to speed on “foreign policy.” Henry Kissinger — now there’s a real anti-establishment, maverick, reformer, huh?
09/26/08 - NEWS YOU’LL SEE NOWHERE ELSE*
09/26/08 - Dr. R.J. Rushdoony On Taxation One of the most prevalent of myths is that vast properties across the land escape taxation because they are church-owned. The tales are endlessly repeated as fact: church-owned businesses, farms, and properties which by subterfuge are removed from the tax roles. As one critic of tax exemption for churches said, ominously, a few days ago: Nobody knows just how extensive this kind of thing is. The fact is that any and every business activity; whether privately, corporately, or church-owned, is taxed, and the taxmen are eager always to ferret out and tax new sources of revenue. If any such activity is untaxed, we can be sure of this: it is, like Jim Jones Peoples Church, a tacitly established church, receiving state or federal funds, and serving some statist purpose. It is not true of legitimate churches.
09/24/08 - Pastor Joe Morecraft III Of Chalcedon Presbyterian Church Weighs In On Women-As-Civil-Magistrates Question 09/16/08
- “American Vision’s” Gary DeMar Has An Addendum To The Deborah Question Re: Women Rulers There is concern and reservations over the candidacy of Sarah Palin as a vice-presidential candidate, and not all of it is coming from the political left. A number of Christians have expressed their disapproval of a woman holding political office. The most articulate biblical appraisal has been written by William Einwechter. At first reading, there is little I can disagree with, but I believe he has left out some important points of consideration. My article is not designed to serve as a refutation but as an addendum. Even so, I expect to get in trouble for writing and posting it.
09/11/08 - Sarah Palin And What God Says About The Family, Women Rulers Sarah Palin’s selection by John McCain to be his running mate in his bid for the presidency of the United States is not only a surprise political move, it also carries with it implications of historic proportions. If Senator McCain is successful in his candidacy, Mrs. Palin will become the first woman to fill the office of vice president of this country and be in place to assume the presidency, if necessary. She will also be in line to take up the Republican nomination for president in the future. If John McCain becomes president and chooses to serve only one term, it is quite possible that the next presidential election (2012) will be between Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin.
09/11/08 - Palin Pro-Choice, Not Pro-Life; Thinks People Should Decide If Unborn Babies Should Be Murdered In The Womb The following Q & As were reported in “Anchorage Daily News” (10/22/06) when Sarah Palin was running for Governor. 09/10/08
- GOP Cheerleader Hannity Offers McCain Adultery Excuses That McCain Rejected On a recent (8/12/08) “Hannity & Colmes” program the topic was John Edwards’ admission that he had committed adultery. Hannity made many good and correct points about the untrustworthiness of public officials who violate their wedding vows. But, when Alan Colmes raised the issue of John McCain having cheated on his first wife, Republican Party cheerleader Hannity went bananas. It was beautiful the way Colmes allowed Hannity to get several coils of rope around his neck before he sprung the trapdoor leaving hypocrite Hannity swinging in mid-air, waving his partisan pom-poms, babbling away abo ut how the two adulteries were very, very different when - as adultery — they are not. Colmes’ timing was exquisite. He pounced at just the right moment. It was beautiful.
08/29/08 - John McCain’s “Zeus Worship” Re-Visited “Zeus worship.” What a discerning and incisive analysis. I wish I had thought of it. But, I didn’t. The phrase belongs to Marvin Olasky, a teacher of journalism at the University of Texas and Editor/Publisher of “World” magazine. Olasky has also counseled George W. Bush and is credited with Bush’s theme of “compassionate conservatism.”
08/28/08 - “Camel-Swallowers” Major In Minors, Make Christians Look Stupid , Expose Us To Ridicule One conservative, supposedly Christian/conservative group, puts out a press release, saying: “Hallmark Cards is cravenly introducing a new line of greetings cards celebrating ‘gay marriage.’ Playing it safe with generalized images such as two tuxedos and taglines like ‘one promise, two hearts,’ there is no mention of the words wedding or marriage. Hallmark can easily market the cards for civil unions and domestic partnerships should the California decision go against them and be overturned in November. “
08/28/08 - Sorry, But Republican Party Elephant - After Bush/Cheney - Not Like Victorious “Victor,” More Like “Dead Dumbos,” Poached Pachyderms Well, there she goes again with another insulting email which begins with the slanderous salutation: “Dear Republican.”* And this time Sue Gazdo, Director, RNC Membership Services, Republican National Committee, wants me — me!, a “Recovering Republican!” - to “show your support for John McCain and all our GOP candidates by proudly displaying the Republican National Committee’s newest member, ‘Victor the Victory Elephant.’”
08/15/08 - Martin Luther’s “Two Kingdom” Philosophy Not Biblical, Gives Us Godless Government, Greased The Skids For Hitler’s Rise To Power Our friend, “Camp Director” — Chuck Michaelis - in our “Forum,” has quite correctly denounced Martin Luther’s “two kingdoms” philosophy reminding me that I had written about this egregiously dangerous formulation many years ago. Below is a slightly updated version of what I wrote.
08/11/08 - Laura Ingraham A Mindless, Jingoistic, My-Country-Right-Or-Wrong, Republican Party Cheerleader At a townhall event in Indiana this week, a 7-year-old girl stood up and asked Sen. Obama why he’s running for president. This simple question left him stammering: “America is —is no longer, uh— what it could be, what it once was. And I say to myself, ‘I don’t want that future for my children.’” Profound. We need a president who thinks America is great now, and will continue to be regardless of any particular election’s outcome.”
08/08/08 - New Rand Study: Bush Strategy Against Al Qaida A Failure; More Attacks Worldwide Since 9/11 Than All Previous Attacks; Law Enforcement Model He Mocked Works Much Better Current U.S. strategy against the terrorist group al Qaida has not been successful in significantly undermining the group’s capabilities, according to a new RAND Corporation study issued today (July 29, 2008.) 08/05/08
- A True Confession: I Failed Miserably To Get Even One Interview With Even One Of Our Founding Fathers Been meaning to tell you about my trip to the “National Constitution Center” in Philadelphia where I tried, valiantly and sometimes shamefully, to get interviews with some of our Founders. But, I failed and failed miserably getting not one interview with even one Founder. I share these pictures to maintain our policy of total transparency.-J.L.

- Another Sign The Rapture Is Near! On ABC’s “Good Morning America” recently, seeking to demonstrate how the yearly Federal debt might be paid off, it was said this could be done if, among other things, each American gave up a lot of lattes. How many lattes? #666! That’s right — #666! Tim LaHaye, call your office!*

- OK, Here’s That Mind-Numbing Interview With Pro-Death NARALer I Spoke About In “AV” Program 165 OK, here’s that interview I allude to in “The American View” radio show 165. The interviewee is Toni Panetta, Deputy Director/ NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado. Her group, obviously, opposes the Colorado Personhood Amendment. This mind-numbing attempt to get some straight answers from this woman lasts about 16 minutes. I apologize in advance if hearing this conversation causes you permanent brain damage. This certainly was not my intent in making this interview available.
07/18/08 - Sure Hope “Lil Wayne” NOT “Best Rapper Alive” His quote reminds me of the basketball coach who said about one of his star players, an aggressive but not too bright player: “He doesn’t know the meaning of the word ‘fear’ - one of several thousand words he does not know the meaning of.”
07/15/08 - “National Review’s” Disgraceful Capitulation To Atheistic Evolution Late last year, virtually uncommented upon, the late William F. Buckley’s influential conservative magazine, “National Review,” officially relinquished the spiritual high-ground to the Neo-Darwinists, and urged all other “thoughtful” conservatives to do the same. Jim Manzi wrote the four-page article of surrender entitled, “The Origin of the Species, and Everything Else,” in the October 8th, 2007 issue. In it, he abandons the authority of what the apostle Paul called the “Sacred Scriptures” (without even mentioning them), in favor of the authority of the atheistic Neo-Darwinist consensus which now rules what those people call “science.”

07/08/08 - My First Tour Of Gettysburg: Interesting But UnConstitutional For Feds To Run This Show; Confederate Memorials Dynamic, Seem Almost Alive I took my first official bus tour recently of the Gettysburg National Military Park which is run by the National Park Service, which is run by the U.S. Department Of The Interior. All of which caused me to wonder: Where in the Constitution are the Feds authorized to do something like this? Answer: Nowhere. Thus, such involvement is un-Constitutional, which is to say lawless, which is to say criminal.

06/27/08 - Lincoln A Murderous Tyrant Who Lied Repeatedly About Secession But, as I say, any “Union” which has to be “saved” by slaughtering, murdering, hundreds of thousands of people is a “Union” that has not been “saved”!! Yes, Mr. Lincoln had “the power” to murder hundreds of thousands of his “friends” in the South. But he had no Biblical or Constitutional authority to do this — which is why he was a tyrant. — J.L.

06/17/08 - Joan Veon Tells “Institute On The Constitution” Group Christian Faith Must Be Used To Fight United Nations “Sustainable Feudalism” Ideas Speaking to a packed house at “Institution On The Constitution’s” monthly “First Friday” lecture series, Joan Veon urged her audience to reject fear and instead walk in Christian faith to fight plans by the United Nations and others to control our lives. Veon is Executive Director of “The Women’s International Media Group, Inc.”
06/16/08 - Great Idea Here - Amen! GREAT IDEA here in this ad by Campus Crusade For Christ. Then maybe God’s Word would be read by our troops, it would then be understood that the Iraq War is un-Godly in that it is not a war of self-defense and our troops would demand to be brought home. OK, not likely, I admit. But, with God all things are possible.
06/16/08 - Another Exciting Contest! The “NY Times” has reported that in Japan, because of street crime, some folks are wearing disguises, some of which look like vending machines (the disguises not the folks.) Hey!, c’mon!, I’m just reporting the news, OK? Probably not. In any event, tell me, in your own words, please, the following: If this trend comes to America, what disguise would like to wear and why? The winner of this contest will…well…I haven’t decided yet…They might get something…maybe not. In any event, let’s put on - right now — that Tin-Foil Thinking Cap with the Duct Tape Earflaps and answer our question. And remember: No plagiarism, please…
06/16/08 - Surprise! McCain Sees Results Of His First Term; Predicts He Will Be A Great President Of The United States! John McCain has jumped into his time-machine, seen the future, and likes what he saw - which is no surprise since what he saw was all the good things he believes he would have done in his first term as President. No, seriously, he did this, really.
06/14/08 - Interesting, no? And I saw this on a pro-Obama Web site. Interesting, no? And I saw this on a pro-Obama Web site. Maybe it’s one of those independent 527 groups “Fools For Obama.” The words “fool, foolishness, folly” meaning, according to the Thomas Nelson Bible dictionary: “A stupid person or a senseless act. In the Bible, the most foolish person of all is one who denies the reality of God the Father: “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’” (Psalm. 14:1; 53:1). Jesus also contrasted wise and foolish persons. Persons who keep His sayings are wise; those who do not are foolish (Matthew 7:24-27.)…. The apostle Paul called the preaching of Christ crucified “foolishness” in the eyes of unbelievers. For believers, however, the message of the cross is the power and wisdom of God (I Corinthians 1:23-24.)
06/13/08 - No Preachers As Props, Please Whew! That was close, real scary — I mean yell-out-loud, both-hands-to-the-head-clutch-your-cheeks-and-scream-scary! I am, of course, talking about how, for a while there, it looked like John McCain was not going to meet with Billy Graham! But, we can all breathe easier now that it looks like the two men will get together and that an earlier report about McCain stiffing Graham was, in the words of the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody, who was told this by a McCain aide: “BOGUS. TOTALLY NOT TRUE” (caps in the original). 06/10/08
- Memo To Cal Thomas/Bob Beckel: Forget “Common Ground” On Abortion; Defend The Faith As God Commands You To Do! In one sense it really is simple, isn’t it? Christians are commanded to fight in defense of the Christian faith - the Greek word for “contend” here signifying contending for a thing, as a combatant. A combatant? Yes! Because, if you know your Bible, you know that we, as Christians, as followers of Christ, are in a spiritual war. And you also know that nowhere in Scripture do you see where we, as Christians, are commanded, in this spiritual war, to try and find “common ground” with the enemies of Christ. And there is no neutrality in this spiritual conflict. As our Lord says (Matthew 12:30): “He that is not with me is against me. …”
06/09/08 - The GOP Mark On This Beast Gross Animal Abuse; PETA Notified; I Am Not A Republican!; And Am Having No July 4th Party… The email message begins with an insulting slander — a strange way to solicit a donation. The email begins with these words:
06/09/08 - Viguerie Tells Libertarians (Are You Seated? Head Wrapped In Duct Tape?): Too Many Conservative Leaders Drank Republican Koolaid, Played Lesser-Of-Two-Evils Boogie Man Politics OK, for this one you should not only be seated but also be strapped into your seat. In addition, you should not merely have two rolls of duct tape close by. 05/29/08 - Huckabee Misses Excellent Opportunity To Expose Obama’s Claim To Be A Christian “Frankly, I’m delighted to see Obama talk about his faith. I, I don’t have any problems with it. In fact, I am refreshed by it, I applaud him for it, I welcome it. I think it’s an appropriate thing, because he is a person of faith. He’s being honest with the people. I’ve always said that’s the only thing that matters is authenticity and honesty. If you are a person of faith, let us know that. If you’re not, be honest and say, ‘That’s just not that important to me.’ I can still vote for you, if you aren’t. What I can’t do is vote for you if you’re not honest with me.”
05/20/08 - Scalia Just One More Christian-In-Name-Only Who, Operationally, De Facto, Is An Atheist Hailed by many conservative Christians as the ideal Supreme Court Justice, Antonin Scalia is just another operational, de facto atheist who admits openly that his professed Christian faith (Roman Catholicism) has nothing whatsoever to do with his works as a judge. Here’s some of what he said in a recent interview on CBS’ “60 Minutes” program (4/27/08)
05/15/08 - Conservative Sell-Out To McCain Begins — Led By Richard Viguerie Who Less Than Month Ago Was Denouncing McCain! It is said that Viguerie’s new web site “will offer conservatives a forum to express their opinions on McCain, to discuss and debate his candidacy, and to decide whether (and to what degree) he deserves conservative support.” Viguerie himself says his new web site “will give conservatives an opportunity to speak out. And it will give all conservatives the information they need to make an informed choice in November.” Unstated, of course, is that this new pro/con web site will also give Viguerie an opportunity to add many more names to his direct-mail data base.

05/06/08 - Well, It’s Official: Bush Says To Be An “American” Means, Religiously, Well - Nothing - Which Explains A Lot About Why We Are Under God’s Wrath In some remarks in the White House East Room on the “National Day Of Prayer” (5/1/08) President Bush, whose father has said his son reads the entire Bible twice a year, has said that to be an American” means, religiously, well - nothing - which explains a lot about why we are under God’s wrath. To applause, he told his audience:
05/02/08 - Rather Than One Day Of Prayer Why Not Push For Godly/Biblical Government All Year Long? A press release informs me that the Governors of all 50 States and the Virgin Islands have issued Proclamations for the National Day of Prayer. Some of the activities on that day will include: Private pilots flying over all 50 state capitols as part of something called Prayerflight. Also, each state’s constitution and its acknowledgement of God’s guidance will be read aloud. “It is our goal to unify our nation from the air and land, by each state praying for return to gratitude and dedication to God,” says Michael Harnishfeger, Prayerflight founder. 04/29/08
- Evolutionist Admits Godless View Of Our Origins May Be Harmful If Taught; But, Of Course, Has No Idea What To Do About This Well, the good news is that none of this research was done on a Federal grant using our hard- earned tax dollars. 04/25/08 - American Medical Association Once Said Abortion A Crime That, while physicians have long been united in condemning the procuring of abortion at every period of gestation, except as necessary for preserving the life of either mother or child, it has become the duty of this Association, in view of the prevalence and increasing frequency of the crime publicly to enter an earnest and solemn protest against such unwarrantable destruction of human life. 04/18/08
- “Free Republic” Site Kind Of Godless “Conservatism” I Am Thankful I Was Delivered From When I Was Made A Christian I’ve been kicked off the “Free Republic” web site. No more posting allowed. The problem? The results of my brain scan. It revealed I had one — a definite no-no if you’re posting among the “FReepers.”
04/18/08 - Pat Robertson Kowtows To Communist Chinese; Blasts Those Demonstrating For Human Rights n his most recent “700 Club” remarks criticizing the pro-Tibet protesters, Robertson said, regarding his own trips to Red China and how he was received, “Every time I’ve been there, it’s been warmer and warmer and warmer and more friendly….” But, of course, the Chinese roll out the red carpet for Robertson. He’s one of their most important “useful idiots.”
04/17/08 - HILLARY: Correcting The Record TRUE, IT NOW SEEMS there was no “sniper fire” when Hillary Clinton visited Bosnia in 1996. But, she was in a dangerous environment, as this photo shows, a photo provided to us by the Senator’s office.

04/07/08 - “Washington Post” Columnist Trashes Buchanan But Reveals Only His Own Biblical Illiteracy “Washington Post” columnist Colbert I. King, a black man, has blasted columnist Pat Buchanan, a white man (see, no “discrimination” or racial profiling here) for a column Pat has written in which Pat — well - told some - what shall we call them? - how about — inconvenient truths. This kind of thing happens regularly in Washington DC when someone tells the truth about something — that person gets blasted.

03/21/08 - Spitzer’s Adultery — And We Should Also Feel Sorry For Mrs. James Carville, Mrs. Alan Dershowitz I am, of course, feeling very sorry for Mrs. Eliot Spitzer and her three daughters. But, I’m also feeling sorry for Mrs. James Carville and Mrs. Alan Dershowitz. And I’m feeling sorry for these two ladies because their respective husbands have been all over national TV saying that Eliot Spitzer’s whoremongering adultery — which God says is a death penalty crime — is no big deal
03/20/08 - Alan Keyes Leaving Republican Party After 20 or so years of working within the GOP to try and reform it into a more Christian/conservative Party, Dr. Alan Keyes is leaving the Republican Party. He will soon make this announcement and explain why he can no longer, in good conscience, remain a Republican.

- Hucksterbee For Godly Rule? Oh, Heavens No — If You’ll Pardon The Expression —What He Meant To Say Was… WE INTERRUPT THIS ARTICLE TO MAKE AN IMPORTANT POINT. PHIL DONAHUE ASKED ME A SIMILAR QUESTION WHEN I WAS ON HIS PROGRAM. HANDING ME THE MICROPHONE, HE SAID: “TELL ME, JOHN, DO ALL JEWS GO TO HELL?” I REPLIED SOMETHING LIKE: “WELL, NO, PHIL. JESUS AND ALL THE APOSTLES WERE JEWS AND I DON’T THINK THEY ARE IN HELL. WHAT DID THEY TEACH YOU IN YOUR CATHOLIC SCHOOLS? BUT, I GET WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO DO, WHICH IS PORTRAY ME, AS A CHRISTIAN, AS AN ANTI-SEMITE. NICE TRY…
02/29/08 - William F. Buckley’s “Conservative Movement” Still-Born, Dead-On-Arrival, Decades Ago, Because It Was Godless, Against Christ, Ignored God’s Word The Lord Jesus Christ did not build the “conservative movement” house. Thus, it was a house built on sand, it fell and great has been the fall of it, a recent example of this fall being the “conservative movement’s” support for President of George W. Bush who has given us the most Godless, unconstitutional, debt-ridden, big spending Federal Government in our history.

02/26/08 - Huh? Saw this in front of our local KFC. Not sure who does KFC ad campaign but — well, let’s just say it’s been a long time since I saw young man like this working at KFC.
02/21/08 - No “Change” At CPAC: Gingrich Plays “Boogie Man” Politics; Advocates — Wow! — “Change” But Not Too Much “Change” - And, Of Course, Not Now… Like a still-ready-to-fight Japanese soldier coming out of a cave on Iwo Jima who does not realize World War II was over 63 years ago, Newt Gingrich, his steel-trap mind whirring at top speed, has looked closely at the political rubble which is the national Republican Party and the “conservative movement” and he has grasped the fact that there is a problem.
02/15/08 - I Most Certainly Will NOT Send Koko’s ‘Love’ To Anybody On ANY Day! The email mash-note below was sent to me recently and has been turned over to my attorney for a possible violation of some kind of inter-species sexual harassment law which surely exists somewhere.
02/14/08 - Questions You’ll Never Hear Asked
02/14/08 - Why On Earth Would A Christian Young Person Even Think About Joining Today’s Military? Are bombing, maiming, destroying property, killing, and genocide compatible with biblical Christianity? Patrick Henry College apparently thinks so. The war in Iraq is all of the above, yet this Christian college not only offers Army ROTC, it also offers its students as cannon fodder to the U.S. military.
02/13/08 - R.I.P. STIFF HOW TRUE. Photo from a graveyard somewhere sent to me by my brother - JL.
02/12/08 - Appreciate the endorsement, Ted, but you are never, ever driving me anywhere — NEVER! Got it?
02/09/08 - And Sharia Coming To America, Too — Count On It — Unless God, In His Mercy, Prevents This Dr Rowan Williams told Radio 4’s World at One that the UK has to “face up to the fact” that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system. Dr Williams argues that adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion. For example, Muslims could choose to have marital disputes or financial matters dealt with in a Sharia court. He says Muslims should not have to choose between “the stark alternatives of cultural loyalty or state loyalty”.
02/08/08 - Sorry, Mr. Congressman, But Your “Broad Interpretation” Of Constitution Gave Us That $53 TRILLION Debt I decided to interview Rep. Wynn when outside of my local supermarket a supporter of his handed me a brochure asking me to re-elect him. Short story short: Right. I will vote to re-elect Wynn when Hell freezes over — TWICE! His brochure lists not one thing he is for that is - civilgovernmentwise - Biblical or Constitutional. Oh, well, we all make mistakes, right? But, one mistake I shall not make is voting for Wynn. In any event, here’s the way our conversation went. Hear it and weep — if you love your country.
02/08/08 - Golden Oldie: Me On Oprah 1985 Debating Homosexuality; I Was Against It Looking through some of my old VHS tapes of TV shows I’ve been on I came across this 1985 “Oprah” program where the topic was homosexuality. One of the things that struck me was how, at some points, the audience actually applauded and/or reacted favorably to something I said. I don’t think that would happen again today. In any event, click here to hear the audio portion of the show where I participated.
02/08/08 - Surprise! “Easy Believeism” Churches Preaching Mush Do Not Produce Christians, Satisfy Real Christians More than two decades after he helped many Baptist churches breathe new life into discipleship training, Roy Edgemon believes it’s time take a new look at how churches make disciples.
02/04/08 - Rudy Loses Leaving Robertson With A 12-Egg Omelet On His Kisser; Where Is That “Word Of Knowledge” When Pat Needs It To Pick A Winner? Well, I guess you might say Rudy got the “Pat Robertson Bump.” You know, Robertson endorsed Rudy and bingo!, before you could say “The Hero Of 9/11,” Giuliani did, off the highboard, a two-and-a-half, pike position, perfect form, into a pool that, alas, had no water in it.
02/04/08 - Senator Clinton Do You Still Believe What You Once Said, What You Once Wrote… I want to be a voice for America’s children…advocating…the immediate abolition of the legal status of minority and the reversal of the legal presumption of the incompetence of minors in favor of a presumption of competence; the extension to children of all procedural rights guaranteed to adults; the rejection of the legal presumption of the identity of interests between parents and their children, and permission for competent children to assert those independent interests in the courts.

01/25/08 - How Did Western Civilization Get a Monopoly on ‘Moral Conscience’ When It Has No Morality? “The first use of nuclear weapons must remain in the quiver of escalation as the ultimate instrument to prevent the use of weapons of mass destruction.” Five Western military leaders. — I read the statement three times trying to figure out the typo. Then it hit me, the West has now out-Orwelled Orwell: The West must nuke other countries in order to prevent the use of weapons of mass destruction! In Westernspeak, the West nuking other countries does not qualify as the use of weapons of mass destruction.
01/25/08 - Just Honest Mistakes? — 935 Times?! Highly Unlikely, We’d Say The following is from the Center For Public Integrity which has issued this report which documents in detail what we already know: That following 9/11, President Bush and seven top officials of his administration waged a carefully orchestrated campaign of misinformation about the threat posed by Saddam Hussein’s Iraq.
01/25/08 - James Bopp, Jr’s Strategy Memorandum: Faithless, Fearful, Full Of Falsehoods This memorandum addresses how best to advance the pro-life cause at present, including an analysis of current efforts to prevent abortions through “personhood” amendments to state constitutions. The following has been slightly edited without altering the meaning of anything said here. What follows the word “NOTE” is a comment by me – JL 01/18/08
- Jim Bopp Interview: Clueless Re: Courts, God’s Law, Alito, And More In November of 2005, I interviewed Jim Bopp re: a newspaper story which quoted him as saying good things about Samuel Alito who had been nominated to the Supreme Court. Yes, he said, the quotes were accurate. Then the interview began:
01/18/08 - Murder-By-Abortion Advocates Raise Important Issue: Should Women Who Have Abortions Be Punished? Quindlen describes a documentary shot in front of an abortion clinic in Illinois: “The man behind the camera is asking demonstrators who want abortion criminalized what the penalty should be for a woman who has one nonetheless. You have rarely seen people look more gobsmacked. It is as though the guy has asked them to solve quadratic equations.
01/14/08 - Paul’s Answer Re: 9/11 Cowardly, Stupid; Should’ve Told Fox Reporter To Get Off His Butt And Investigate Whether What Skeptics Say Is True! Paul: Well, I can’t tell people what to do, but I’ve abandoned those viewpoints. I don’t believe that, and that’s the only thing that is important. And so I don’t endorse anything they say. But I would like to take an opportunity to talk about the issue that we’ve been debating here for the last 20 minutes…
01/11/08 - OK, Now This Is NOT Funny….. But, what could the beast possibly have to do with my sub? And how could my “Quiznos” meal be EXACTLY the same numbers as my emails when I got back from that trip — 666!!! Oh, no! I just noticed our toilet water is bright red, thousands of flies are buzzing around in our house and our town has been re-named Amityville. Help!
01/11/08 - Giuliani Definitely THE Candidate Of “Change”! No, this is not any of Giuliani’s previous wives or fornicatees. Clearly oblivious to Deuteronomy 22:5, this is Giuliani him (?) self prior to announcing his (?) Presidential candidacy. In a soon-to-be-released interview, he (?) wanted us to ask our Web site visitors: “Do you think pink is my color or does it make me look too feminine?”
01/10/08 - Most Reaction To Huckabee Criticism Shows (Not Surprisingly) His Supporters Also Clueless Re: Bible/Civil Government Issue “…[H]e quoted the Bible left and right!!!” — “I will pray for you that God opens the eyes of your understanding, so that you can repent of possible interfering with God’s plans…” — “God Himself does not force Himself on us, He gave us a free will to choose, spiritual life or death. The most powerful way to win people over is prayer…You can lose more people to Christ, by pushing your faith/beliefs on them.” — “If this is in God’s plan to have Mike Huckabee to run for president, you are in grave danger of interfering in God’s plan and encouraging others to do the same, you are saying you know better than God and condemning who God has appointed. It’s best to keep silent in these matters…” — “…I think one of the greatest strengths of Mike Huckabee is that he is willing to reach across the table, whether it be to Democrats or to non-believers. It is not his place to judge, as the Bible states. I believe your stand on this man is very biased and unforgiving…” — “…You need to look back in your history book to why American was started and why they left England in the first place. It was for religious intolerance, among other things. How can you be so narrow-minded to question a man about his faith. That is NOT your duty to God.” — “know your sources before you speak, dude…” And more!
01/08/08 - No, “Leadership” That’s Left Us $53 Trillion In Debt! Sometimes - or so I have been told - I over-react. But, a far greater concern for me is that when all is said and done — considering the war on Christ in our country, the war on our Constitution and the war on honest, plain-speaking language, I will be judged to have under-reacted.
01/08/08 - The Voice Of The Serpent: Mitt Romney Channels “Mr. Worldly Wiseman” The voice of the serpent manifests itself in many ways, many tongues, many different phraseologies and in many different environments. But, the theme and methodology — sometimes explicit, sometimes implicit — are always the same. The theme is: Forget God; forget His Word; do it your way; lean to your own understanding. The methodology: When you speak, generalize; abstractionize; be vague; mush things up; shun specificity; smile a lot without blinking.
