- God’s Word Warns Of Those Given To “Change” Whose Calamity Shall Rise Suddenly Interesting – the “change” thing, I mean. They are all for it or some version of it. It reminds me of that scene in “Spartacus” when the recaptured slaves are asked to point out which one of them is “Spartacus” in exchange for leniency. Instead, they each proclaim themselves to be “Spartacus” and thus share his fate. Remember? “I’m Spartacus! I’m Spartacus! I’m Spartacus!” Etc. Now, it’s “I’m for change!” “I’m for change!” “I’m for change!” OK. We get it! 01/02/08

- ME AS A REPUBLICAN prior to recovery ME AS A REPUBLICAN prior to recovery (and prior to being a Christian which happened in 1980, by God’s grace alone), blissfully unaware that I was afflicted with this horrible choice – NOT a disease! As noted before, from 1970-73, I worked at the Republican National Committee where I was the GOP’s chief Party propagandist as Editor of the weekly publication ‘Monday,’ so-called because we spewed our lies every Monday… 12/17/07
- Romney Theobabble Clarifies/Explains Nothing; Reveals Ignorance Of Our Founding, Constitution In a recent major address, Mitt Romney came as an angel of light to, ostensibly, clear things up and explain his Mormon religion. He did no such thing. Instead, Romney lied, revealed his historical ignorance re: our founding, he obfuscated, refused to be specific, engaged in vain theobabble, blew an uncertain trumpet, and uttered platitudes and generalities. Here’s some of what he said and my comments. 12/17/07
- The Lord Jesus Christ First, True Libertarian; His Coming Most Important “Political” Event In History The religious significance of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is well known. But, what is not so well known is the sense in which Christ’s birth is “the most important single political event in history,” as Dr. R.J. Rushdoony has observed and documented in many of his books. For example, in his book “The Foundations Of Social Order: Studies In The Creeds And Councils Of The Early Church” (1968), Dr. Rushdoony, referring to the Council of Chalcedon (451 A.D.), calls this an event that “handed Statism its major defeat in man’s history” because it established God as “the true sovereign and the true source of law.” He notes: “Western liberty began when the claim of the State to be man’s savior was denied. The State then, according to Scripture, was made the ministry of justice. But, wherever Christ ceases to be man’s Savior, there liberty perishes as the State again asserts its messianic claims. Man is in trouble, and history is the record of his attempt to find salvation. Man needs a savior, and the question is simply one of choice: Christ or the State? No man can choose one without denying the other, and all attempts at compromise are a delusion. 12/17/07
- Sorry, But Humanist/Evolutionists May Not Invoke Right/Wrong/Good/Evil Since There Can Be No Such Thing In An Accidental, Chance-Governed World Long story short: A bunch of Christian/conservative-types get together to make a movie. It’s about, among other things, the intolerance of God-hating scientists and other God-haters towards those who disagree with them. For this movie some of these God-haters are interviewed. This outrages one Roy Speckhardt, Executive Director, American Humanist Association. He writes a letter-to-the-editor of the “New York Times” (10/4/07) accusing the Christian/conservative-types of dealing deceptively with the God-haters. He says that what the Christian/conservative-types did was “dishonesty by the devout.” 12/14/07
- Giving Pandering A Bad Name – A Joke, I Think… ON ABC’s LATE-NIGHT “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” program, Kimmel mentioned a recent candidate’s forum for the Republicans to discuss issues of concern to black Americans. He said not many GOP candidates showed up but the ones who did he thought were a little over-the-top. And then he showed these pix of Brownback, Paul and Huckabee. I think this was a joke. 12/11/07
- A Meeting With Dr. Dobson: Please Pray That He Becomes More Explicitly Biblical When He Speaks Out On Issues First stop, a visit with Dr. James Dobson (about 15 minutes in his recording studio.) I gotta admit that when I called his office, told his assistant I’d be in the Denver area, and asked if he would see me, I never thought he’d say yes. But, he did. Oh, me of little faith. 11/30/07
- End Times?! Armageddon?! Meaningless Coincidence? Just Three Numbers?! Accidental Upsidedown 9s?! So, I log on after being on a trip for four days. And I see I have emails numbering 666!! - “World Net Daily” Boss Regrets Voting For Bush; Blasts Richard Land’s Immoral Political Advice Here’s my thesis in a nutshell: Never vote for any candidate who doesn’t respect and revere and genuinely submit himself or herself to the authority of the U.S. Constitution and its strict limits on federal government power. I admit I have yielded to the temptation to deviate from my own policy on one occasion – the 2004 presidential election. By then we knew George W. Bush had little understanding and respect for the Constitution, but, in a defensive strategy, to avoid the election of an outright traitor to his country in John Kerry, I wisely or unwisely decided to vote for Bush’s re-election. I’m still happy Kerry didn’t win. But I take no little solace in whatever small part I played in Bush’s undeserved re-election. 11/21/07
- Radio host says Christians voting for non-Christians unbiblical A radio talk-show host who describes himself as a “recovering Republican” argues that Christians have a “cut-and-dried” directive from the Bible not to vote for a non-believer.
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney won the endorsement Monday of Senator Judd Gregg (R-New Hampshire). New Hampshire is a key primary state where Romney is currently leading. Romney has also garnered the endorsements of several high-profile evangelical Christians, including Dr. Bob Jones III, Mark DeMoss and Jay Sekulow.
Former Republican National Committee official John Lofton is co-host of The American View, a weekly radio show syndicated by Radio America. He contends Romney and other non-Christian candidates fail to meet scriptural requirements for men who occupy God-ordained civil government offices.
“This is ridiculous on its face to say that Christians can vote for non-Christians. It’s Christ denial, its something that’s very serious,” he argues. “And in fact, in a way things have gotten even worse by saying that religion doesn’t matter. Well, that’s the same as saying, whether they know it or not, that Christ doesn’t matter. He is the King of kings, he is the Lord of lords — which means Lord over politics, and no Christian can be complicit in having an unbeliever, who God calls wicked, rule over us.”
He says by voting for a candidate like Romney, whose faith teaches that Jesus is the spiritual brother of Lucifer, Christians are in effect putting their desire to win an election and defeat Hillary Clinton above their commitment to God’s Word. Lofton also recently criticized National Right to Life founder Dr. Jack Willke for endorsing Romney even though the Mormon church teaches that “some exceptional circumstances may justify an abortion,” including rape, incest, fetal deformities, and threats to “the life or health of the mother.” 10/31/07 - Dear Ann Coulter: Please Shut Up I wish Ann Coulter would shut up. I know, I know – she won’t, as long as she breathes. But, this is my wish – that she shut up immediately. Utterly lacking in discretion and thus standing out as a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout (Proverbs 11:22) – and always wearing the attire of a harlot (Proverbs 7:10) – this disgusting female, who says she is a Christian, is now explaining, among other things, what Christians believe about Jews. She has said: 10/19/07
- True Confessions Re: My Sordid Past: I Once Did A Radio Show With Barry Lynn It angered Lynn greatly when I would say — whenever he said something evil and/or stupid — in other words, whenever he spoke: “Well, that’s an odd thing to say for an ordained minister of the Gospel such as yourself” (at the time, and now, he calls himself the Rev. Barry Lynn.) More than once, on a break, he would demand I stop saying this to which I would reply… 10/18/07

- At Last!, The Origin Of The O’Reilly Logo! I’ve been haunted for sometime by Bill O’Reilly’s logo. Hmmmmmmm, what does it remind me of? Then it hit me and it can now hit you — 10/10/07
- In “TAV” Interview Year Ago, Richard Viguerie Mocked Idea Of Third Party, Leaving GOP; Now? Well… WILL RICHARD actually jump from the burning Republican Party building and stop hitting himself in the head with the GOP hammer? Stay tuned, but don’t hold your breath until he does this — unless you look good in purple. 10/02/07
- Dobson Right, Bauer Wrong On Fred Thompson Who Flunked Never-Vote-For-Murderer Test Call it The Murderer Litmus Test. It would go something like this: I will always vote against any nominee for any public office who has murdered innocent human beings and sees nothing wrong with such murder. Sound reasonable to you? Well, Fred Thompson didn’t think so on at least one occasion and said so explicitly. But, I’m getting ahead of myself on this important and widely-ignored story. 10/02/07
- A PROUD PRESIDENT BUSH A PROUD PRESIDENT BUSH poses with the first graduates under his No Child Left Unpainted With White Stuff And Wearing Headbands program. He told them: “There now, you should really be able to get a good job. I hope you support the surge. And may God continue to bless America.” 10/01/07
- Polly (“Alex,” Really) Want A Federal Grant? Yes, And He Got It Explaining A Lot About Why Constitution A Dead Letter, Feds Trillions Of $$$ In Debt As we approach “Constitution Day” (September 17), it is appropriate — indeed mandatory — to think about the question: How did the Federal Government get to be trillions of dollars in debt? A hint: the answer to this important question has something to do with the blatant violation of the Constitution for many generations. A case-in-point: The recently deceased “Alex” the grey parrot upon whom millions of your hard-earned tax dollars were spent to study him the result being that it has now, supposedly, been proved that a grey parrot can do many things done by chimpanzees, dolphins and young children. 09/18/07
- Support Those Who Support Things? WELL NOW, here’s a new one; saw it recently on the back of a pickup truck. But, who or what, exactly, is ‘America’ today? And what’s next, as we sink further into the quicksand of abstractionism, a ribbon saying ‘Support Those Who Support Things’? Or the ultimate, minimalist “Support.” 09/18/07
- Reagan, In His Diary, Criticizes Me For Telling The Truth Just looked recently at a copy of “The Reagan Diaries” (HarperCollins, 2007) where I get a couple of shots for, basically, telling the truth (pgs 82, 94-95). And these mentions demonstrate what was a serious problem with the former President: Quite often he literally hadn’t the foggiest idea what he was talking about. My first mention (2/26/1982) reads as follows: 09/10/07
- Radio Host Jan Mickelson Last Word On Politics In Iowa The following profile of our good friend Jan Mickelson appeared recently in the”Los Angeles Times.” And as folks of our ilk say, this story, considering the views of this paper, could’ve been a lot worse. 09/10/07
