Golden Oldie: Howard Phillips Blasted Abortion Exceptions In Speech Accepting 1996 Presidential Nomination Nomination Of U.S. Taxpayers Party, Used “Religious” Language, Too
HOWARD PHILLIPS, shown here speaking in Tampa in 2006, did not, alas, defend the 100 percent, no-exceptions, pro-life position he so articulately and eloquently defended in San Diego in 1996.When Howard Phillips accepted the Presidential nomination of the U.S. Taxpayers Party in 1996, he eloquently blasted those who were not 100 percent pro-life, those who favored abortion exceptions, those who thought it was OK to murder unborn children conceived because of rape/incest. As I listened to these sound bites, I thought about the CP conflict in Tampa where Howard spoke in defense of Nevada party leaders who favor abortion exceptions not only for rape/incest but also for “fetal deformities,” life/health of the mother.
