Well, there they go again. The President and Mrs. Bush have, again, this year, sent their greetings to those observing “Kwanzaa.” They say: “During the seven days of Kwanzaa leading up to the New Year, friends and family come together in a spirit of love and joy to honor their rich African heritage, reflect on the Seven Principles, and give thanks for the blessings of freedom and opportunity. Forty years after the first Kwanzaa, this hopeful occasion remains an opportunity to build the bonds of family, community, and culture and move ever closer to the founding promise of liberty and justice for all. 12/20/06

Dear Mr. Olasky: Please Shut Up, Sir The “decidedly different” candidate for President in 2004 was Michael Anthony Peroutka of the Constitution Party about whom, sir, you said nothing, zip, zero, zilch, nada. Zastrow is protesting Wal-Mart for their decision to sponsor National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, their funding for Planned Parenthood and their decision to sell Plan B, a birth control medication. Zastrow held signs that depicted two aborted fetuses. Many people passing by thought the signs were disgusting and had vulgar words for Zastrow. “Oh thank you, I am number one,” Zastrow said in response to negative comments or gestures. 11/25/06
