15th “American View” Radio Show Exposes Pro-Abortion View Of Bush Nominee John Roberts
Our 15th nationally-syndicated, one-hour radio show, “The American View,” co-hosted by myself and “recovering Republican” John Lofton, was broadcast yesterday. It is a detailed expose of the views of President Bush’s nominee to the Supreme Court John Roberts. On this program, you will hear Roberts say, in a 2003 confirmation hearing:
“Roe v. Wade is the settled law of the land. It is not—it’s a little more than settled. It was reaffirmed in the face of a challenge that it should be overruled in the Casey decision. Accordingly, it’s the settled law of the land. There’s nothing in my personal views that would prevent me from fully and faithfully applying that precedent, as well as Casey.”
This is a very significant admission because Roberts is saying he has no personal view that in any way sees abortion — the murder of innocent, unborn children — as being wrong. And this is why he will uphold all the Supreme Court decisions making abortion “legal.”
On this same program, reading from Roberts’ 2003 testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, we will also discuss his views on how the Constitution should be interpreted and how he sees the role of a lawyer. These views, and other views of his we cite, show that Roberts is NOT a strict constructionist.
In addition, because what John Roberts says he believes is such an important topic — and because there has been a massive media campaign of disinformation about him being, supposedly, a conservative — we are, for the first time, offering this show right now for you to listen to.
