Make Believe
By Michael Anthony Peroutka
When you were a child, did you ever play Make Believe? Would you agree that sometimes “Make Believe” can be dangerous? Making believe you are a super hero, what if you put on a cape and jumped out of your bedroom window? …dangerous?
What if you ran out and played in traffic and said “I’ll make believe that the cars and trucks are just toys and will bounce off of me”?
How about let’s make believe that a poisonous snake is just a puppy dog so you pick it up and hold it to your chin and stroke it and pet it…
These are dangerous and deadly things to do.
But what about a government and a culture that says, let’s make believe that there is no God and no moral authority and we can just kill the unborn and print money out of thin air and validate fornication and homosexuality and other stuff that God has told us not to do.
In fact, why not just Make Believe that there is no God and make believe that we, ourselves, are the source of all authority?
Why did Americans murder 50 million of their own babies in the last 40 years?
Why does the federal government continually aggrandize to itself powers and authorities that are NOT granted to it by “We The People?
Why is there a determined effort by civil government and the media to misrepresent the true meaning of Separation of Church and State?
Why is Christianity itself under attack and persecution in America?
Why are we in such an unholy mess?
May I suggest that we stop playing this dangerous game of “Make Believe” where there is no God and that what passes for right and wrong are the imaginations of judges and other elitists and that our perversions and greed and lusts have no negative consequences?
That’s all make believe and it’s time to grow up?
