And as the slogans of the ruling party said in George Orwell’s “1984”: “War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength.” Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is shown here at a recent news conference where, as “TIME” magazine put it, he was outlining “a major overhaul of the government TARP program to rescue banks.” Geithner is, of course, the same Timothy Geithner who, before he became President Obama’s Treasury Chief, was involved up to his eyeballs in inflicting upon us said TARP program which he is now pledging to give a “major overhaul.” Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
