The sign from two miles away. The sign from two miles away.

Do you believe that the dehumanizing and murdering of preborn children will stop in America? I sure do. If you don’t, consider these promises of God:

Mark 11: 23,24 “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoeveer he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Matthew 16: 18, 19 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Matthew 7:7-11 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”

Matthew 28: 18-20 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.”

Some believers in Jesus are just hanging on while they wait for Jesus to return and fix things. They are nice folks. We’ll see a lot of them in Heaven. As they abandon their opportunities to be salt and light in their culture and civil government, the rest of us believers will go and apply God’s promises to evangelize and disciple the nations! We will act like Jesus is truly King as we come against sin and evil.

God will stop the American holocaust of child-sacrifice. He desires for His Church to obey Him and go do that. If His Church won’t cooperate with Him, then He will send such crushing judgments that will stop whole cities and nations (including their compromising churches).

Pastor Matt Trewella brought the Missionaries to the Preborn out to Colorado August 18-27. If you want to read about adults, teenagers, and children that are changing the world for Jesus Christ, check out their website. My family and I had a tremendous time ministering with them on the streets. Some of their teenagers participated with us on the Sheets of Shame project.

Before dawn on August 26th, fifty-five backpackers quietly exited vans at the base of Table Mountain overlooking Denver. Liberals attending the Democratic National Convention were still asleep. Half of our group, adults, heaved backpacks on while we prepared for the steep climb through cactus, scrub brush, and lots of rocks. The other half of the group, teenagers, didn’t simply start, they charged! With the zeal of youth they took the hill by storm. Sure, the kids needed direction from the leaders, but they clearly were there to conquer this mountain. Half of them were girls. I felt old, fat, and like a real flatlander as I made my way up row number seven to the find the starting stake for my sixty-eight pound bottom half of the “h” in the bottom line. After finding the orange spike, I dumped my burden and helped to unfurl sheets and spike down three other letters. It took us about an hour for us to put up a prophetic message for hundreds of thousands to see directly. Millions of people have also seen our sign via the media (including over 11,000 websites ). By our measurements, it qualifies for the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest sign. Just to sew the sheets together, over four miles of thread were used.

Being as this mountain is public land, we weren’t breaking any laws, but some environmentalists were upset that we were violating “regulations,” and Colorado has lots of regulations. Deputies and officers of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s department arrived while we were unfurling. They threatened us with citations and arrest for not having a permit, disturbing the ecology, and a couple of other “crimes.” Being as we were so spread out, and only one officer tried to get up to us, we kept unfurling. We all sat and enjoyed ourselves while waving to the Fox News helicopter overhead after completion. They started playing “bad cop” at the base of the mountain by not allowing the handful of our hikers to return back up with our water refills. The rest of us stayed up for the rest of the morning to see if diplomacy or despotism would win down below. Our nurse, Lolita, gave them a good tongue-lashing, but what backed the authorities down was a cameraman who filmed them trying to answer the question, “Why won’t you allow the people to have water?”

Bob Enyart, our leader on the mountain, negotiated with the energetic deputy that we would descend immediately. We had to return to take our own sign down that afternoon after we went out for lunch and rested a bit. And no citations or arrests! We sang “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name as we triumphantly descended. The cops at the bottom of the mountain changed their tune and ordered us to stay in the sun, for water and lunches to brought up to us by our vans, and for the sign to be down within one hour. Neighbors and media people were standing in the street when the closest home owner energetically pipes up, “You are all invited to my house for lunch, to get cold water, and to use the bathroom! You folks are great! Come on and enjoy the shade everybody.”

Instead of mocking the grumpy officials, we praised the Lord for His providence and proceeded to the shade. This wonderful lady apologized for not being ready for the party, but she gave all she had, two bags of cold oranges. Her daughter called her from Tennessee saying that she had just seen the pictures on television and wished that she could be there to help out. One neighbor lady complained to the media that our sign upset her pet lama. Other neighbors ordered the officers to do something because we had violated the rocks and bushes. Ha! Two rattlesnakes had been seen on the mountain, but the absurdity of approving of baby-murder while protecting rocks and ugly bushes could not have been more stark.

Our vans brought up sandwiches. No, we didn’t accept the prodding from the deputy to gulp down our food and hurry. We took down the far right three letters in the bottom row first, so that the mountain still proclaimed, “Destroys uNborn Child.” That took us a while. The last letter to come down was the top “t” which looked like a giant cross on the mountain all day. While rolling up letters, I took a break on the mountain for a cell phone interview with John Lofton for The American View radio show.

Not only does God’s Word give me confidence that a righteous crusade aginst baby-murder will win, but I believe what I saw. I believe what I saw with Missionaries to the Preborn. All of the dynamics of the sign, the media, the world record … that wasn’t the thing for me. The best part was seeing young people who have a vision to get the job done of ending the killing, of not compromising, of trusting God to bless their purity and zeal for Truth. Although we had to meet at 5:00 am. to load up, the first eight men were on the mountain at 1:00 am. to prepare in the dark for the rest of us to come at dawn. One of those leaders was a seventeen-year-old boy. Read his account of the adventure.

With kids like this, who refuse to compromise or waste their lives on lesser pursuits, I have great hope for America. Many kids are taking up their crosses and following Jesus, and it is exciting to know them.
