The proverbial good time was had by all at “Institute On The Constitution’s” Fabulous Founders Fantastic Celebration of the Independence of these united States.Ê The event was held at Michael Peroutka’s farm where Michael noted, to those assembled, that John Adams had said, in a letter to his wife Abigail, that our independence should be commemorated “as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade with shows, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.” This celebration featured, among other things: Prayer to God by Pastor David Whitney of the Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church. David is also Senior Instructor at “Institute On The Constitution”; excellent live music by the Willinghams – Kerry, Donna, and Leslie, who were joined by Rob Manning; beautiful solo singing by Cherelyn Whitney (Pastor David’s wife); and guitar playing and singing by Michael Peroutka.
